Altiva Software Releases Version 6.05.06 of CADconform for MicroStation and Version 6.04.37 of CADconform for AutoCAD

December 22, 2008 (Houston, TX) – Altiva Software announced the release of the latest version of CADconform for MicroStation® and AutoCAD®, its software products that promotes and enforces 100% conformance to CAD standards. CADconform® is an add-on to MicroStation® and AutoCAD®, among the most widely used 2D drafting software packages.

Version 6.5 of CADconform for MicroStation features:

• Windows Vista is now fully supported

• Improved support for running on Windows XP under limited-privilege accounts

• Drafting Menu: features can now have descriptions, which will display as balloon help when the user hovers over a feature name

• Drafting Menu: tear-offs now display only the subset of features in the list-box

• Drafting Menu: a new feature type filter in the Drafting Menu has been added, so that only feature of a certain type (linear, text, cell or dimension) will be displayed

• Drafting Menu: a new feature name filter has been added, so that only features matching a sub-string will be displayed

• Drafting Menu: the menu type, locate, show/hide and filtering tools can now all be turned on or off individually

• CSV Import/Export: now supports many new data type options, and can now fully support all feature table criteria

• Preferences: the preferences dialog has been broken up into more descriptive pages, and now supports the append (>) and prepend (<) characters

• Text styles, dimension styles and fonts can now have ranges associated with them, as well as wildcards

• Ranges now support regular expressions (i.e. wildcards). For example, a font range could be "Courier*" which would allow "Courier-bold" and "Courier-italic"

• Optimized file name checking - you can now add hundreds of rules to the checking (such as with AEC) and it does not slow down

• Extended Preferences dialog with more options

• AutoCAD 2009 supported

• Windows Vista is now fully supported

• Improved support for running on Windows XP under limited-privilege accounts

• CSV Import/Export: now supports many new data type options, and can now fully support all feature table criteria

• Drafting: Display block attribute dialog

• Draft and Conform: Range support for layer, color, weight and line type

• Conforming: In depth block checking including block library definition

• Reporting: New interface displaying model and layout errors separately and listing of all individual errors

• Watermarking: Ability to ignore blocks for certification

In addition, CADconform is the first CAD standards software to include a complete license for the U.S. National CAD Standard™ (NCS).
