January 30, 2006 (Houston, TX)—Altiva Software, Inc. announced the launch of the company effective January 1, 2006. Altiva designs and sells products to enhance the performance of AutoCAD® and MicroStation® drafting software.

CADconform®, the flagship product by Altiva, provides a seamless, easy way for companies to promote and enforce conformance to computer aided drafting (CAD) standards.

Conformance to drafting standards has important business drivers including: improved speed, accuracy and quality of drafting work; reduced legal liability associated with drawings; increased ability to use and reuse information on drawings for other business processes such as document management, procurement and materials management.

Seamless between AutoCAD and MicroStation, CADconform integrates and lets drafting organizations implement and enforce existing standards, and develop and enforce new standards, in two main ways: 1) completely customizable drop-down menus and pick lists, and 2) an after-the-fact standards checker that works much like the spell check feature in word processing software.

CADconform is the only product of its kind that provides an encrypted, tamper-proof electronic seal ensuring data integrity and user confidence to anyone reviewing or using a drawing. An intact seal confirms that the drawing has been checked by the software and conforms to established standards. A “broken” seal indicates that the drawing has been changed and needs to be re-checked.

Altiva was spun off from Corporate Montage, a privately-held, fifteen-year-old company specializing in CAD-related software and services for the engineering/construction, public utility and oil & gas exploration industries. Corporate Montage is headquartered in Australia with offices in Wiesbaden, Germany and Houston. For the last six years, Corporate Montage has been marketing and selling CADconform.

Because it is a spin-off, Altiva begins its business life debt-free, with a mature, stable product that continues to be improved and enhanced by veteran staff, and a solid customer base.
